A very well versed artist in all forms of painting, Mrs Shail Mittal started her career as a self-employed painting teacher in her home town of Bareilly in 1981 where she taught oil painting, knife painting, water painting, fabric printing and "Mehndi" (Henna). She has a B.A. in Painting and a Diploma from Bombay Art. Her painting style has progressed over the years from a traditional artist to a modern/contemporary one. Today, her art work is focused on various current socio-economic issues ranging from global warming to women empowerment and female foeticide in India.
Today, she has hosted more than ten exhibitions in various cities like Mumbai, Bareilly & Lucknow. She has also been a judge for the art event at the "Moods Indigo" cultural festival in 2007 at I.I.T. Mumbai. Today, she produced several hundred fine art work in oil, fabric and water forms to name a few.
